My costumes start from approx £150 but every costume is individually designed and made by hand so the cost is highly dependant on the design you want creating. For example a simple sleeveless leotard with more minimal decoration will be cheaper than a fully rhinestoned costume with a more complicated pattern with multiple appliqués and accessories etc. Please send me a message here to discuss your needs and get a quote. I am also more than happy to work within a set budget or upgrade an existing costume and give you options for this. I can also offer discounts on troupe orders.
Yes- your initial design consultation is free but I take a non-refundable deposit of around 25% of the completed costume amount and will confirm the agreed date for completion. The deposit is payable straight away via BACS transfer to secure your design and a making slot and to guarantee delivery by the agreed date. Full payment of the remaining balance, including any required postage costs, is to be paid upon completion and before the costume is handed over/posted.
This will vary on my current workload, what materials I have in stock/would need to source and the complexity of the request. For example, if you need an existing costume sparkling up and I have both the correct stock and the time I can get that done very quickly but for a full custom costume you should allow at least 4-6 weeks. My best advise is its never too early to get started so get in touch as soon as you know you need a new costume and I can discuss your needs and advise you of current turnaround times. I will always try my best to fit you in but please remember I am a one-woman small business so the more notice you can give me the better!
Please refer to my Measurements Guide on this website. This shows you where to take the important measurements and gives you some handy tips. I will also ask for any additional measurements required for specific designs and I will guide you through how to take these. Please be aware that I make your custom costumes to fit the measurements provided and check them against these upon completion so I cannot be held responsible for any poorly fitting costumes due to inaccurate measurements provided. For more guidance please just send me a message- I am more than happy to give you support in taking measurements to ensure a great fit on your dancer. I can also offer a measurement service in person (I am based in Belper, Derbyshire) if this is something required.
Yes! I am happy to take on orders of more than one of the same costume including troupe costumes. Please get in touch to discuss your ideas and find out current availability and pricing.
I offer a Sparkling Service where I can rework and bling up an existing costume with high quality glass rhinestones and add appliqués/accessories etc. I stock many colours of lace and beaded appliqués which can be added to costumes or used as hair accessories to give an old costume a boost on a budget. I do not specialise in alterations of everyday clothing or bridal/prom apparel so I don't take on this type of work generally speaking but please send me a message if you have a special project in mind and I can advise if I can help!
